We love these "Never Touch" books and have accumulated quite the collection. This book, "Never Touch A Moody Moose" is another great book full of fun textures and colorful images. My almost 2 year old loves paging through this book, reading the story together, pointing out the other pictures he sees, and more. The text is short and simple with cute rhymes. The book is sturdy and has survived my toddler's rough hands, even when he opened the book beyond its limits and bent the cover backwards. When we leave the house we always have to have a "Never Touch" book in our bag, so we're excited to add this one to our collection!

Cute board book for little ones. It has the textured spots for the kids to feel, to go along with the story. The book is well made and holds together nicely.Its only 4 pages long, and no message or lesson is taught in the story. Its really not even a story, its just some rhyming words, to be honest.It is cute for babies, but with no moral or lesson taught, no funny story to follow, its kind of just, "meh".

This book (and the rest of the series) has taken over our house. My son is absolutely obsessed with it. If I try to read anything else, he gives me the look—you know, the toddler look that says, “Nice try, but bring me the good one.”The textures are his favorite part. He runs his hands over every page like he’s inspecting fine art. The variety of surfaces keeps him engaged and giggling. The illustrations are colorful and adorable, which means I don’t get bored looking at them for the 47th time in a row.It’s also sturdy enough to survive enthusiastic page-turning and the occasional snack-covered hand. I’m pretty sure this book has been “taste-tested” at least twice, and it still looks new. It’s fun, interactive, and has a strange power to keep my child sitting still for more than five minutes—a rare and beautiful thing.

This is my first time getting a book from the "Never touch a ... " series. I am so glad this was the first book we try. My toddler absolutely loved it. The colors are so vibrant, the illustrations are adorable and eye-catching. The little little rhymes are catchy. I have gotten other tactile books and she usually moves on quickly, but with this one, she has been really enjoying it a lot. I will definitely be recommending and getting more from this series!

The Never Touch a Moody Mouse book has an inconsistent font that is not easy for children to read or distinguish the lettering. The colors and the font changes from word to word and letter to letter. In addition, the letter's case is not consistent. This can be confusing and does not foster early or emerging literacy skills. The story does have a simple flow but the inconsistent fonts makes this book readable by adults only. Therefore, it will not have longevity in my household. The value for this book is not present because it cannot be used by my child as their literacy develops. On another note, the sensory aspect of touching is helpful for babies and toddlers however, older children found this book babyish.

This is such a hilarious and fun board book. Each page has a different animal that has a different texture to feel. My son has loved flipping through it both with me and on his own and feeling all of the textures. Each one is a different type of silicone material shape. It ranges from really small bumps close together to bigger wavy patterns. It is a pretty simple book as far as the words and things go and a nice bed time read or story time really. It makes my son belly laugh each time as he reacts to the textures and pages.

We're big fans of the Never Touch a..... series. We were very excited to get this book in the mail and our 3 year old immediately wanted us to read it to them. While the pictures and rhyme are cute as they are in the rest of the series, the rubber touch parts in this book are small compared to the others you get in the series. For this reason I knocked off one star. Nonetheless this book is a great addition to our collection!
